Sprinkler System Components and Common Issues
A sprinkler system consists of several components that can fail. Here are some common issues we address during an adjustment and inspection. A stuck sprinkler valve is a frequent problem; we keep about half a dozen types of common valves in stock so we can quickly rebuild your sprinkler valve with a new diaphragm. Stuck sprinkler heads are another issue, as plastic parts can fail. We often replace pop-up rotors that fail to rotate, as dirt can get into the internal gears or they simply wear out. We stock several types of replacements, and although technology has advanced, we can't always have a direct replacement on hand. We primarily stock brands like Hunter, K-Rain, Rain Bird, Toro, and Irritrol for our sprinkler heads. These are just a few of the things we look for; it could also be an electrical problem we encounter. The same valves we carry have the solenoids we would need to replace if one fails, so we ensure to have those on hand. Sometimes, it’s as simple as a $0.99 wire nut with a grease pack that solves or prevents a problem!
